Speaking with joint manager’s Martin Ball & Daryll Thomas they commented;
“We are absolutely delighted to get Tyler secured for next season. In our opinion he has absolutely everything to be the best striker at this level of football and the league higher. He’s got five goals in five games since he’s come in which shows exactly what he’s about. He has put his trust in us by coming in this year and we’re delighted we can repay that faith by getting his deal sorted nice and early. This is the calibre of player we will be targeting over the summer to strengthen the squad.”
Blake joined in March scoring on his debut against Selston but then missed the next four weeks through injury. On his return Blake doubled his tally for the club scoring the second goal in a 3-3 draw with Belper. A man of the match display in the next home game accompanied with a brace of goals followed. In Saturday’s final match of the season Tyler scored seven minutes into the second half to make the score 1-1. Three goals in two home games and five goals in five games overall puts Ty right up there in the record books alongside Patrick Webb, Kieren Watson & Liam Hearn.
