Eastwood CFC are happy to announce current General Secretary Graham Laverick as the clubs new Vice Chairman.

Graham steps into the role alongside his other responsibilities at the club.

Chairman Lee Wood said “Graham has shown tremendous commitment and loyalty to me personally and to the club in what has been a difficult transition from owner to owner. I know it has been a difficult year for him personally with family health and other issues but his commitment to his responsibilities has never wavered. He works tirelessly alongside Zander and the rest of the team to help with the day to operations of the football club and he has been invaluable to me over the last couple of months. He has a great relationship with everyone at the club and it makes sense to me to put him in this sort of role. He will continue to fulfil the responsibilities of General Secretary but will also act as a conduit between the board and the other departments within the club. I have great faith in him and look forward to seeing him grow into the role”

Graham said “ It’s a huge honour. Over the last year I have grown to love this football club and the people here. I value the relationships I have built extremely highly and hope to strengthen them further in the coming season. I’d like to take the time to thank everybody at the club for their work. I appreciate how difficult it can be at times and the sacrifices we all make to be here, we appreciate every single one of you. We have a long way to go if we’re to achieve our goals but I believe we have the right team in place and every chance of being successful. Thanks to the chairman for the trust he has placed in me. I hope I can live up to his expectations.”

Graham also recently picked up the Malc Storer shield recognising his hard work over the last twelve months. For those that didn’t know him Malc was a beloved groundhopper who is sorely missed by the local non-league community, a great man who had time for everyone, raised endless amounts of money for charity and will be remembered as a legend by so many.

Graham is a fitting winner of this award, his contribution to the football club has been second to none.

Good luck Graham!
