Currently Loughborough sit 4th the Premier North table with 15 wins from their 23 games. They are also enjoying a fine run in the FA Vase and are soon due to compete in the last 8 of that competition.

This will be the third meeting between the 2 teams this season. The league match on the 28th August at the Halbrooke resulted in a narrow defeat for the Red Badgers.
The FA Vase encounter, also at the Halbrooke, on the 23rd October last saw the Students triumphant winning through 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 scoreline in full time. Cameron Moore had put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute. Striker Romello Nangle equalised with a 58th minute penalty to send the game into a penalty shoot out.
