In form Boston Town are the visitors this Saturday knowing a win could move them into the play off spots. Only Newark Town and Bourne Town have picked up more points than Boston since the beginning of November. Town have lost just one of the last eight league matches with that defeat coming against title favourites Bourne Town. Although Boston are in good form their away record isn’t the best, they have picked up two wins away from home in all competitions in their last ten games.
Despite exiting the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup on Tuesday the Red Badgers are on a run of three straight wins in the league a run that has kept them at the summit of the table. At home the one defeat against Bourne Town is the only blip on an unbeaten home record this season, with Ball & Thomas’ men failing to score just once in their last 31 outings.
Player Watch: Harry Limb has found his scoring boots once again, the forward has netted 21 goals in 24 appearances this term after two season’s of single figures. Goalkeeper Travis Portas has been a part of one of the second best defence in the league earning nine clean sheets this season.
Previous Meetings: The 3-0 away win in August was the Red Badgers first win over Town on the eighth attempt. At the time the win was described as one of the clubs biggest away win’s thanks to a brace from Alex Troke and a goal from the skipper. Boston have won all three visits to Coronation Park with the only goal for Eastwood in those three games coming from Jack Messom. In the most recent clash at home Boston ran out 2-0 winners in March.
Squad Update: Lavell White could return, Lynden Joyce is available after suspension. Phil Watt is suspended so Oliver Robinson is likely to start at centre back, Aaron Opoku could debut. Sam Wilson, Daniel Elliott, Lynden Joyce, Tyler Blake and Jermain Hollis were the only players who started in Boston Town’s last visit to Coronation Park.
Chairman Lee Wood is in the Christmas spirit and has SLASHED THE ADMISSION PRICE to this game down to just £3.00. The lads are in their highest ever position in their history, provide a guarantee of goals and the facilities and people mean you can’t not have a good afternoon, so get yourself down.
