Eastwood were knocked off top spot last night after 10-man Sherwood beat Belper United 2-0, the win leaves Eastwood second on goal difference. Since the loss to Belper in mid September the Red Badgers have gone on to win their last six games scoring thirty goals in the process.

Heanor have been just as impressive winning their last nine games in all competitions loosing just one of their last twenty-six and remain the only unbeaten side in the league.

Heanor's Jamie Sleigh has scored nine goals in his last nine games, but no one has scored more goals than Paddy Webb this season, the twenty year old's record for this season sits at nineteen goals in thirteen games averaging a goal every sixty-one minute's.

The Eastwood gaffer had this to say ahead of the huge game Saturday;

“We’re looking forward to Saturday, I’m sure there will be a fair few supporting them, I’m sure we will take a few and get behind the lads as normal.”

“We have one or two lads carrying knocks, but we go to Heanor with no excuses or mind games, we go there to try and win.”

“By the weekend we hope to announce a big signing for us and another lad who’s signed a contract until the end of the season.”
