James Jepson thoughts after Saturday’s draw.....
“ Feels like a defeat to be honest but I can’t take anything away from them, I thought we controlled the game and their goal was against the run of play but sometimes in football that happens, to see the lads speaking out after the game and gutted it shows how far we have come since the defeat against Belper away”
“ Fair play to GSP they defended for their life and on another day we win comfortably but I will hold my hands up and say well done to them for taking a point off us.”
“ We will look forward to the senior cup on Wednesday, it’s a cup that doesn’t get the credit it deserves, I can remember when I was 5 watching my Dad lift the trophy ironically at Eastwood ground for Basford United and it was some achievement beating Hucknall Town who then dominated The midlands, I expect A tough game but we will be going full strength and not taking any chances or have excuses that we should have played a stronger team, I think it shows the competition, Ollerton, our owners and the fans the respect they deserve”
“ Yes we play Heanor on Saturday and it has all the ingredients for a good game, Heanor have dropped points recently claiming 2 from a possible 9 so we will expect a reaction from them but we will be ready”
