He made his debut for the club in their opening League Two game of the 2007-08 season, a 4–0 home defeat to Shrewsbury Town on 11 August 2007. He also appeared in an FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest later in the season. His three years with the League Two side included two loan spells at Grantham Town and one spell at Corby Town where he joined permanently in 2008 spending three years with the “Steelmen”.
Following his release from Corby, Grantham snapped him up on a permanent basis, Watt then moved on to Boston United, Coalville Town, Belper Town, Lincoln United, Frickley Athletic and Mickleover. Last summer Watt rejoined Belper for his second spell where the defender earned his 150th cap for the club.
