After three straight victories in pre-season Jepson is under no illusion the threat Kettering will pose, currently plying their trade at step 2 of the non-league pyramid a full four steps higher than ourselves.

“Gutted it’s behind closed doors as would have been nice to have seen some Poppies fans and see Halbrooke Stadium full, but all are welcome to come in the bar and book a table at the beer garden.”

“Also it’s a shame as I’m sure our fans would have liked to show their appreciation for what Paul Cox did at Eastwood Town, but again not meant to be.”

“We will of course give everything tomorrow but let’s be realistic, we are playing against conference players so will be good to see us against a top side and get minutes in everyone’s legs.”

“All I want is to see from the boys is to get close to their opponent, pass the ball, want the ball, look after each other and enjoy it.”

“Finally, will be great to see Sam Meakin back, he will hopefully come in the dressing room before or after to chat to the boys. He’s will always be welcome back at Eastwood CFC, the club will miss him as a player and him and his family as people.”
