Eastwood’s 4-1 victory against Ollerton on Wednesday night made it 13 straight wins at home, scoring 53 goals in the process.

Heanor’s league form has been nothing short of incredible over the last 10 months, their last defeat away from home was the 23rd February 2019 almost a year ago. However their form has dropped recently, loosing at home to Sherwood, before draws against Clipstone and most recently Dunkirk, mean “Town” have dropped more points in the last four games than in the previous twenty-six.

The Eastwood Gaffer had this to say ahead of the game;

“ Well here we are, I told the lads after the Sherwood defeat we need 15 points from the next 5 games and we have taken 13 which is a brilliant return and only the draw at Prims stopped us achieving that.”

“I wanted us in good form and prepared for this game tomorrow and I believe my players are ready.”

“Despite being top of the league, apparently we are not in the title race to some, talk is cheap but if I’m honest I find it very disrespectful.”

“We have nothing to lose and the pressure is on Heanor tomorrow, I’m sure there will be a big crowd at the game and it’s great for the community.”

“I am hopeful of a new striker being in the squad tomorrow but we will see, Kieran Knight is touch and go with a hamstring strain so we remain in hope.”
