I would firstly like to take this opportunity to send my best wishes to all of our players, parents, supporters, sponsors and anybody else associated with the club. This is a very stressful and difficult time for all. Over the next few months as we begin to get some sort of normality back, I look forward to saying hello to many and welcoming you back to our facility.
We have been busy over the past few weeks getting things ready for when we can begin to open our gates back to the football part of the club. We plan on opening the football section on Monday 15th June, with procedures in place to keep everyone safe when using our facility. Coaches at the club can look for further guidance over this week. We will give specific days when we will be open. Our inside bar and function facilities will have to wait until we get further guidance from the government.
During this period the club has continued to invest in our facility, from new signage and sponsors to ground maintenance and club house refurbishments. We hope to make our customers, visitors and supporters proud of Eastwood CFC.
Later this week we'll be releasing our new online kit store in partnership with KitLocker to the public. This should make ordering junior kits and teamwear smoother, but also supporters of the club will be able to order from the site also. Keep a look out on our social media channels for this over the coming days.
Our first team awards will be published later this week. I know JJ and the lads are itching to get back playing.
Hopefully over the next weeks more guidance will be given, and we can begin to see how our squad will develop ready for next season when the time is given.
Behind the scenes our staff have been working hard on preparations for the 2020/21 season registering twenty-five junior teams along with our 1st Team, Development side and Veterans team. Additionally we remain the home of Nottingham Forest Women as they move into the second year with the club, hosting all their home games and training across their 1st Team, Reserves and Development Teams. We have also partnered with Notts Police Veterans who will play all their home games at Eastwood CFC as well as their national cup competition they compete in. On top of all that we have officially partnered with Leeds United SC College who will use our facility through the week to run their academy scholarship, more details to be followed.
Thanks to the help of Heanor Town and Glen Clarence, from our re-opening day we will have Eastwood CFC custom face coverings available to purchase as well as a take-away menu for all snacks and drinks.
Thanks again for your continued support of this club and hope to see you in the near future.
