After a tight first half, Paddy Webb’s goal on twenty four minutes was the difference at the break. A key save from new keeper Rathbone gave Eastwood the platform to go on and score five goals in the second half. Paddy completing his hattrick, Kieran Knight grabbing a brace and Wayde Hines with his first goal for the 1st Team.
James Jepson had this to say;
“Lads were brilliant, I think to come in at half time 1 up and be disappointed shows what we’ve got in the dressing room.”
“As the game goes on and the opposition get tired we look to change the shape slightly and it worked and could of been 10.”
“At 1-0 Ratha made a great save and shows you why we’ve wanted him for a while now.”
“I thought everyone was brilliant and was hard to single people out, I said to the lads after it was great to watch but we need to not get complacent and go into Saturday’s game with the same level of commitment and desire”
