Daryll Thomas and Martin Ball’s men have made the best start to a season since 2017 taking twenty-two points from their opening nine league fixtures, keeping five clean sheets in the process.

Lincoln are strong favourites for promotion once again, narrowly missing out on automatic promotion last campaign having to settle for the play offs where they fell short to Skegness Town in the semi final. This season it is nine straight wins in all competitions and nine straight wins in the league giving United a five point lead over the Red Badgers.

Player Watch: Summer recruit Owen Vincent has scored nine goals in as many games to open the season whilst last season’s top goal scorer Jack McMenemy has also started well scoring five goals already.

Previous Meetings: The only two previous encounters took place last season, a Kyle Tomlin brace earned a 2-1 victory at Coronation Park, whilst away from home despite leading twice through Koby Eratt-Thompson and Chris Robertson and missing a penalty the game finished 2-2 after Lincoln scored a late equaliser deep into stoppage time.

Squad Update: Ball & Thomas are in good spirits with players slowly returning from injury, Jermain Hollis and Riece Bertram are both available for selection however Ricky Starbuck and Daniel Elliott are still sidelined. Aaron O’Connor remains a doubt. Toby Woodward and Finnley Commons are both in FA Youth Cup action this evening and are unlikely to start tomorrow.
